Members must enter as individuals
Qualifying for the Championship Challenge does not automatically register you for the Last Mountain Fall Walleye Classic, you must still individually register for the tournament.
“The spirit of the rule” applies: Final decisions on qualification and eligibility are at the discretion of the SWT Board.

Championship Challenge
The prestigious SWT Championship Challenge is held during the Last Mountain Fall Walleye Classic, with the grand prize being a Lund boat, Mercury motor, and Shoreland’r trailer package!
To qualify for the Championship Challenge, SWT members must meet at least one of the following criteria:
✅ Finish Top 10 at any of the three SWT qualifying tournaments leading up to the Last Mountain Fall Walleye Classic.
✅ Participate in all three SWT qualifying tournaments before the Fall Classic.
✅ Rank in the Top 30 in overall SWT season points prior to the Fall Classic.
Bob Schlosser Angler of the Year
This award recognizes consistency and versatility across the season. To qualify, an angler must fish with at least three different partners over the course of the season. Your best three finishes (each with different partners) will count toward your total. Important: All partners must also be SWT members to qualify. If you fish two tournaments with the same partner, the lower finish must be dropped.
Team of the Year
This award goes to the team with the highest cumulative points total from their best three tournaments during the season.
Both team members must be SWT members to qualify.
Top New Angler Prize
First-time SWT members have an extra chance to win! In addition to all regular tournament cash prizes and year-end awards, new SWT members are eligible to win $200 cash at each tournament. This prize goes to the highest-finishing first-time SWT member at each event. New members compete only against other new members for this prize—giving you great odds to take home extra cash your first year!
Mixed Team of the Year
The top-performing mixed-gender team of the season will be awarded the Mixed Team of the Year title.
Both team members must be SWT members to qualify.
Youth Angler of the Year
Awarded to the angler under 18 years of age who accumulates the most points throughout the SWT tournament season.
Encouraging and recognizing the next generation of great anglers!
Cool Under Pressure Awards
At each SWT tournament, the team that advances the most places from Day 1 to Day 2 wins the Cool Under Pressure Award!
If there is a tie, the award goes to the team with the higher overall tournament finish. If still tied, it will go to the team with the higher Day 1 weight.
Sportsperson of the Year
Awarded to the SWT member who best demonstrates outstanding sportsmanship, leadership, and positive spirit throughout the season.
Nominations are welcome! If you know someone deserving, please submit their name and story to the SWT board.
Overall 1 only and 2 only Tournaments
Awarded to the top finishing SWT member who fished 1 tournament. Awarded to the top finishing SWT member who only fished 2 tournaments
King of the Mountain
Awarded to the angler who accumulates the highest total weight across both tournaments held on Last Mountain Lake during the season.
King of the River
Awarded to the angler who records the highest total weight during the Lake Diefenbaker tournaments on the SWT trail.
Steve Taylor Cup (Ironman)
Awarded to the top (Angler) who fished all four tournaments and compiled the most post in all four events. This angler could only fish 2 events with the same partner. The other 2 events must be with different partners.
Big Fish of the Year – Kids Help Phone 50/50 ($20 Entry)
Support a great cause and compete for the title! For a $20 entry fee, SWT members can enter the Kids Help Phone 50/50 Big Fish Challenge.
Awarded to the angler who catches the largest fish across all four SWT tournaments.
Event Big Fish
Awarded at each individual tournament to the angler who catches the largest fish of the event. Prize amounts and specific details vary by tournament.
Heavyweight of the Year (Heaviest one day weight)
Awarded to the team that records the heaviest one-day tournament weight over the course of the four SWT events.
